Joining The ILO

The Irish Locksmiths Organisation (ILO) invites locksmiths from across the entire island of Ireland to apply for membership.

To start the application process, complete the application form available on this page. Ensure all fields are filled out accurately.

Important Requirements:

  • All applicants must be PSA-registered. Applications cannot be processed without a valid PSA number.
  • Applicants must be locksmiths operating their own business in Ireland. Proof of trading for a minimum of six years is required.
  • Provide two trade references.
  • Submit photographs of the inside and outside of your work van and/or premises.
  • As part of the application process, you will also need to complete an exam to demonstrate your skills as a locksmith.

Once your application is submitted and reviewed, the ILO Executive will nominate you at the next scheduled members’ meeting. During this process, a member of the Executive may contact you to request additional details or clarify information about your application. You may also be required to attend the meeting where your membership is confirmed.
